To bring the saga up to date it stopped working again!   I 
changed the routers, and it resumed.   I have had to do that a 
second time.   So, though the router worked perfectly before it 
has had a nervous breakdown from the loss of signal, which seems 
to have been caught by its fellow!

Mysterious ways, indeed.
