Thanks for your advice via questions.   I wish I could say it helped!   I have been switching routers back and forth about four times, and couldn't even contact one to chat about its juvenile misbehaviour so made a fifth change, and when I got back to the desktop it was downloading!

So my advice is throw your computers on the fire if you want to stay sane.   Too late for me already, so I'll carry on   ;-).
