It wasn't a joke when I first made the comment, it was
a simile attempting to reinforce the dangers and
ineffectiveness of government interventions of 
certain types......

and as that got circulated to CNBC USA and the folk
on Squawbox there got a wee bit upset with it I was a
bit taken aback and dismayed when I heard the report
of the jokes using that label....

still I suppose some things can take on a life of their own
once they have flown the pen......... :)

the relevant comment (snipped ) was:

"Now that George W's administration is socialising America
one can but hope that the USSA will at least be more efficient
than the Soviets............."
