Thanks Cheryl. I'm finding lot of resistence to both thoughts... 
'Track' has a lot going for it, but I'm seeing the problems with 
it too. 'Fair treatment' expresses what i want best, but it is 
both interpretable as 2nd rate and presupposes awareness of the 
very thing the book(s) bring out.

It is lacking a dynamic. Several lifetimes ago I came across 
'Know Your Rights' which has that imperative and invitation to 
improve one's position. Perhaps I need to study a few verbs  and 
commands.
