Advent Calendar: Request for writers!
Hi there, As you may know, we plan to publish an advent calendar in order to promote Dancer. The idea is to publish one article per day form the first of december to the 25th. We have set up a repository on GitHub dedicated to host the collaborative work around that. Any help is welcome and very much appreciated. Currently we have 23 articles ideas, 7 of them are "assigned" (someone volunteered to write the article, but did not started yet), 3 of them are "pending" (the article is almost finished but need a review). We have one moth left and lots remain to be done if we want to be able to publish our advent calendar. I invite you, as a Dancer user/developer to fork the project: http://github.com/PerlDancer/advent-calendar-2010 and start helping us. You can also request on the list a write-access to that repo, we'll add you to the team and you'll be able to push your changes directly here. You can either review one of the article in the pending directory (typos are there, you can be sure ;) or start picking an article idea in the README file, setting the flag to "A" for telling other writers not to pick this one. FYI you can build pretty HTML renderings of the article with the following command: $ perl build/tools/build_html.pl pending You'll find the HTML files in build/html/ With your help we can do it, but if we're too few, this might be difficult. Thanks a lot! -- Alexis Sukrieh

Do you think the articles will be posted in the order that they are in the README file? I am wondering so I know which articles should have higher priority. Thanks, Naveed

No, there's no order yet, feel free to pick the one you feel more inspired with ;)
