Issue with plugin_setting

Hi All I am trying to write a Dancer2 Plugin to handle OpenAPI (Swagger2) configs and I want to configure the plugin via config as usual. In my config.yml, I have :- plugins: OpenAPI: configfile: "openapicfg.yml" my Dancer2::Plugin::OpenAPI.pm looks like this:- package Dancer2::Plugin::OpenAPI; use Dancer2::Plugin; use Dancer2::Plugin::OpenAPI::Core; use Data::Dumper; register OpenAPI => sub { my $self = shift; my $plugin_conf = plugin_setting(); print Dumper { pluginconf => $plugin_conf }; ......... }; and Dancer2::Plugin::OpenAPI::Core has :- package Dancer2::Plugin::OpenAPI::Core; use Moo; use JSON::Validator::OpenAPI; use Data::Dumper; has 'apiconfig' => ( is => 'rw', reader => 'get_apiconfig', writer => 'set_apiconfig' ); sub BUILD { my $self = shift; my $config = shift; my $val = JSON::Validator::OpenAPI->new; my $url = $config->{url}; my $spec = $val->load_and_validate_schema($url); $self->set_apiconfig($val->schema->data); return $self; } 1; My App has this :- package MyApi; use strict; use warnings; use Dancer2; use Dancer2::Plugin::OpenAPI; my $apiconfig = OpenAPI->get_apiconfig; I am using Dancer2 version 0.204001 on Centos 7.3.1611 and Perl 5.16.3 When I run this - the plugin config is empty $VAR1 = { 'pluginconf' => {} }; Anyone got any idea what I am doing wrong here ? Hi, I got a cookie from user’s request and retrieve the data and store in session, then I will need to delete it in client’ browser. How can I delete the cookie? how to fetch an existing cookie

Hi, We are using dancer2, how can I fetch an existing cookie from the client requests? In dancer1, there is module Dancer::Cookies, we can retrieve all the cookies by doing: my $cookies = Dancer::Cookies->cookies; See the following: use Dancer::Cookies; my $cookies = Dancer::Cookies->cookies; foreach my $name ( keys %{$cookies} ) { my $cookie = $cookies->{$name}; my $value = $cookie->value; print "$name => $value\n"; } Does Dancer2 has equivalent module or are there any ways to fetch a cookie? Your help would be much appreciated! Hi, Our application has two layers, the first layer does the authentication and set the user cookie in client browser. In second layer, we need to get the information from user cookie and do the authorisation. My question is how can I get the information from the user cookie which is set in first layer? Also how can I delete the cookie after user logout? Dancer2 Authentication Problem

Hi all, Still learning Dancer2. Managed to get the database part working, but now I have a strange authentication problem - probably something I am missing. I want to password protect several routes: /secret /secretpg1 /secretpg2 In config.yml, I have configured just one user, who should be able to access all the above routes: engines: session: YAML: cookie_name: invictus.session is_secure: 1 is_http_only: 1 plugins: Auth::Extensible: realms: config: provider: Config users: - user: 'joeblow' pass: 'sikrit123' name: 'Joe Blow' roles: - Marketing In my Dancer2 code, I have this: get '/secret' => require_login sub { 'You are logged in as user: ' . logged_in_user->{name} }; get '/secretpg1' => require_login sub { 'This is page 1.'; }; get '/secretpg2' => require_login sub { 'This is page 2.'; }; If I go to /secret, I will get the default login page. If I then go to /secretpg1, I thought I would get the page without having to login again, but I get redirected to the default login page again. If I login successfully then go to /secretpg2, I get asked to login again. What am I doing wrong here? Is there some additional configuration? I suspect there is something wrong with my config.yml, but I cannot find any information on Google that helps. All the examples I see have only one route. Help! Thanks in Advance! pascal chong

Dancer2 0.205001 improves documentation and internals

The Dancer Core team has just released Dancer2 0.205001. This release primarily fixes some documentation issues with a couple of notable exceptions: - If HTTP::XSCookies is installed, Dancer2 will check at install time to see if the correct version is installed (Peter Mottram) - Dancer2 is now tested by Travis CI on Perl versions 5.22, 5.24, and 5.26, as well as Appveyor (Dave Jacoby) - All reference checking under the hood is handled by Ref::Util (Mickey Nasriachi) We have several new contributors this release. Database template not working (and also my Dancer2 code)

Hi all, Learning Dancer2 and trying to re-learn Perl, so please be patient. I've read the Manual and Tutorial, and I can get most examples working, except for querying a database and displaying the results. I am using Dancer2::Plugin::Database. How can a fork+system() Dancer app not create zombie processes?

Hi all! When running a simple and reduced Dancer 1 application which forks and runs perldoc -f system , I am getting many zombie processes after making requests. This does not happen with https://github.com/shlomif/shlomif-perl-snippets/blob/master/tcp-socket-ser… which does the same thing using IO::Socket and plain TCP. To reproduce, do: hg clone https://shlomif@bitbucket.org/shlomif/app-notifier cd app-notifier hg checkout zombies-processes-bug cd App-Notifier-Service/ And then run “bash run-server.bash” and in a different shell session “bash run-client.bash.” . You can run 'pstree -p' to see the zombies processes. This happens on Mageia v6 x86-64 and Fedora 25 x86-64 with perl-Dancer-1.320.200-2.mga6 . Then generate the page content and return that from the route handler.
