[devtalk] table line deletions and diskspace - cleaning script

I have found this 
http://svn.wikimedia.org/viewvc/mediawiki/trunk/extensions/SpamBlacklist/cleanup.php 
which it is claimed cleans spam from mediawiki. I am just 
checking with my host whether I can try it out. If it is OK 
it might prove the best solution.
