[wdvltalk-social] website scripts [also sent to devtalk]

I am setting up a new website for Smile poet [smilepoet.com] but am out of touch with possibilities. initially I am thinking of free scripts or templates. It will probably have to be php, and I am not currently very aware about xhtml - even though I should be.

Any advice welcome and any comments. Please be aware I don't have a lot of time to spend on the technical. And If there were an intuitive program to make page change easy, and possibly to also make easy blog and other entries and articles that would be good.
