Thank Kish for your time, I can do my web in PHP and HTML but just looking for basic web programming and if possible, join existing project to learn better not to learn basic stuff here. Perl GUI or webui is not as common as python, Ruby and PHP are. Anyway, appreciate your response. On Sep 5, 2010 4:39 PM, "P Kishor" <punk.kish@gmail.com> wrote:

Hi all, @Goke Aruna: I wonder if Dancer is really what you want to be using at the moment. @all Maybe this is a good occasion to ask the dancer developers where they want to be going with this exciting initiative. I have been using Drupal for the last two years which I perceive in as being similar to Dancer in some respects : It is easy to start from the beginning and then you are pretty much free where you want to go. Less limitations, for example, as with Wordpress. With WP you may get a blog setup much quicker, but then it is more difficult to expand into un-blog-like regions. Similar, Dancer let's you begin without understanding the whole technology stack. Very quick and perlish in the sense that it helps you get simple things done easily and difficult task with moderate effort, but later everything is still open. Anyways, when I the examples from Dancer::Cookbook from beginning to end I have the feeling that writing a more or less complex website with many pages and a lot of programmed functionality is a central issue of Dancer. That does compare to Drupal quite well. I have the feeling this is not the core idea of webapps. I might be wrong here or maybe old fashioned. I think if webapps as relatively small solutions to specific problems. Like a online payment solution inbeeded in a bigger site. Anyway, I am curious to hear your opinions. best Maurice On Sun, Sep 5, 2010 at 12:29 PM, Goke Aruna <p6klass@gmail.com> wrote:
