Thank you for the compliment. It took a lot of thought and work to get it that compact. :-)

Sereal is faster and more compact than other serialization options, both of which are crucial for cookies.

I can't see a good case for supporting other options.

FWIW, once someone ships a new Dancer 2 dev release with the recent
session changes that were merged, I have the next generation of
cookie-based sessions ready to go.
