Hi All, I have a data listed with html table. When I click on o a button, I want data to be exported to excel. With CGI.pm I do it in 2 ways 1-) when clicked on button, redirect to a sub and use Spreadsheet::WriteExcel module 2-) no need to another sub, change header if clicked on button #set cmd to export when clicked on button and perform POST reques if ($q->param('cmd') eq 'export') { print $q->header( -content_type => "application/vnd.ms-excel", -attachment => Report."-$stamp.xls", ); } I have 2 questions: 1-) I can apply 1st method at a new route. Hi We want to add JWT support to our Dancer2 applications, and are looking for recommendations on what support libraries to use. We would like to ensure that someone is looking closely at possible security flaws. We saw https://metacpan.org/pod/Dancer2::Plugin::JWT which uses JSON::WebToken which has been around since Jan 2013 and has gone through a few revisions since then, latest being Mar 2015 Should we be looking at integrating: Crypt::JWT which has only seen a single release in Jul 2015. Documentation specifically mentions JWT, JWS and JWE and their related RFCs. Documentation claims that "The module implements all (100%) algorithms defined in https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc7518 - JSON Web Algorithms (JWA)." Thanks Rick

I was trying to debug a problem where service("capdir") returns undefined. My .t file is in the archives here: http://lists.preshweb.co.uk/pipermail/dancer-users/2015-September/005015.ht… What is a good way to debug this? I copy core Dancer2 modules to my local lib, then drop Data::Printer calls into them. There (hopefully) would be a better way. Maybe # perl -d -- Rick Leir Developer, Canadiana.ca

how to make sure one db connection per user

Hi, I use Dancer::Plugin::Database in my application. Each time when $dbh = DBI->connect( $c->{ dsn }, $c->{ username }, $c->{ password}, $c->{ dbi_params }) is called. does it return a new connection? I would like one db connection for each user, where can I save the database handler? I try to save in session, but it doesn't work. Is session can only save string, but not object? Many thanks, Dan

Using ::Plugin::DBIC in D1 -and- D2

Module ::Plugin::DBIC has a D1 and a D2 version. The common part is DBICx::Sugar; it exports the 'schema' word. route handler for a URL that matches a token

Forgive me for being clueless, but can someone tell me how I can have route handler for a URL that matches a token. Such that a user can receive an email that says: Go here to reset your password http://myapp.com/resetJiOk49ld9oekdisJkflSS3ed (where JiOk49ld9oekdisJkflSS3ed is the token ) and then dancer would bring them to the template where they can reset their password. I can't seem to wrap my mind around how such a thing would work. get '/reset/'$token => sub { template 'pass_reset'; } post '/reset/'$token => sub { # let user reset password my $input_hash = { Pswd => param('password1'), PswdConfirm => param('password2'), }; template 'pass_reset'; }; Any help would be greatly appreciated. Unrelated: I am curious to know why Dancer2 is trying to open ./.dancer at startup? For an app Name::Name2, in lib/Name/Name2.pm, the file needs to be lib/Name/config.yml not in ./config.yml. Now I see why: there could be multiple apps, each with its own config. As described in meta (but why say that it is global?): "Dancer2 will first look for the file *config.ext* (where .ext is the type of configuration file you are using) in the root directory of your application.
