finding Dancer::before

Since I upgraded to the latest version of Dancer, I get the following message Dancer::before has been deprecated since version 1.3080. use hooks! at /opt/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.14.1/Dancer.pm line 118 Except, as far as I can tell, I have not used `before` anywhere. Perhaps one of the plugins I am using... except, the only plugin I am using is Dancer::Plugin::Database; which is the latest version (1.80). Any suggestions as to how I can locate this offending `before` and change it? -- Puneet Kishor

strangeness with Dancer prefix and apache proxy

I have the following in my apache2 conf file <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName my.computer.edu DocumentRoot "/path/to/Sites" <Proxy *> Options FollowSymLinks MultiViews AllowOverride All Order allow,deny allow from all </Proxy> SetEnv force-proxy-request-1.0 1 SetEnv proxy-nokeepalive 1 ProxyPreserveHost On ProxyPass /d/apps http://127.0.0.1:25012 ProxyPassReverse /d/apps http://127.0.0.1:25012 </VirtualHost> When I go to http://my.computer.edu/d/apps/js/app.js the log shows request: GET //js/app.js from 127.0.0.1 in ../Dancer/Handler.pm l. 52 When I go to http://127.0.0.1:25012/js/app.js the log shows request: GET /js/app.js from 127.0.0.1 in ../Dancer/Handler.pm l. 52 Why do I get to leading slashes in the first request above? Additionally, when I go to http://my.computer.edu/d/apps I get a correct response (the double slashes notwithstanding). However, when I go to http://my.computer.edu/d/apps/foo then I get a 404. My perl code is like so package apps; use Dancer ':syntax'; use Dancer::Plugin::Database; load_app 'eb', prefix => '/foo'; -- Puneet Kishor

New hooks and extensibility in Dancer::Plugin::Database

Hi all, A developer version of Dancer::Plugin::Database went to CPAN last night (1.70_01) with a few new features requested by Nick S. Knutov: New hooks: - database_connect_failed - fired when an attempt to connect to the database fails - database_connection_lost - fired when we realise that a database handle is no longer usable (the connection went away) - database_error - fired when any database error is raised by DBI (implemented using DBI's HandleError, so it will catch all SQL errors etc regardless of whether you were using D::P::D's convenience methods or running your own queries direct). Extensibility: - New "handle_class" configuration option allows you to set which class the handle will be blessed into, so you can subclass Dancer::Plugin::Database::Handle and have handles blessed into your subclass instead, so you can add your own custom features etc. Please feel free to test the developer release if you have time, feedback would be welcomed. Once I see decent CPAN testers results come back, I'll get a new stable version out in the next few days. Hi, early today we where discussing this extrange issue with Bigpresh on the IRC. After some fix this is now the situtation.
