TT engines and template

I'm using TT and when I 'set engines' before 'set template' everything works, but if I have 'set template' first (as shown below), the start_tag and end_tag aren't recognized (it just prints [%/%] to the screen). This problem doesn't occur if the settings are in config.yml instead. Is it a bug, or am I misunderstanding these settings? thanks for the suggestions Brian. I have been using Apache reverse proxy very happily for single apps, and have a plugin for handling the header munging. For single apps, reverse proxy is a great solution. We have a public facing app deployed in that manner. What I'm trying to do here is a bit different. The aim is to run multiple instances of the same code with different properties without having to launch each one separately or tie a certain I instance to a specific port. The objective is managing them as a group, so group restarts and upgrades, and making it easy to add extra apps. Also, I'd prefer just the one starman instance in this case. On a more fundamental level, the docs should provide accurate u formation, so at the very least the section that suggests a mechanism for multiple side-by-side apps was in need of a test and an update. I get nginx to serve the static content directly so my app only handles the dynamic stuff. It was pretty easy to set up and it might simplify your configuration. What can the default simple template handle?

The docs only indicate simple scalars but looking at the code I see some 'if' 'else' 'end' parsing. Does that mean it also handles conditions? Could someone add an example to the docs? My main issue though is that I'd like to do loops. Can I do that with the template system that comes with Dancer or do I need to install TT in order to do it? error stack does not include my application

In a small application I was writing I had an error. The code looked like this: use File::Slurp qw(read_file); get '/' => sub { my $path = config->{appdir} . extending the serializer

I am trying to write a new serializer plugin called `Dancer::Serializer::Tgz` modeled after Data::Dumper, JSON, etc. The idea is that, in conjunction with `Dancer::Plugin::REST` and `Dancer::Serializer::Mutable`, the user would be able to request data in .tgz format on demand like so -- $ curl http://example.com/employees.tgz Here is my baby code, and it gives me a rather unhelpful "an internal error occurred". What am I doing wrong? Runtime error having to do with hooks (which I don't use)

But in the "/account_edit/$uid" route params('body')->{myvar} returns nothing while I get the correct value inside the route above. Thus my workaround with stashing params into the session. installing Dancer 1.3051 failed on Mac OS X 10.6.6

This is a new one for me, as Dancer has always installed with any problems. I am using Perl 5.12.1 Test Summary Report ------------------- t/04_static_file/001_base.t (Wstat: 256 Tests: 8 Failed: 1) Failed test: 2 Non-zero exit status: 1 Parse errors: Tests out of sequence. Found (1) but expected (7) Tests out of sequence. Found (2) but expected (8) Files=213, Tests=1832, 53 wallclock secs ( 0.88 usr 0.81 sys + 37.39 cusr 5.96 csys = 45.04 CPU) Result: FAIL Failed 1/213 test programs. 1/1832 subtests failed. make: *** [test_dynamic] Error 255 FAIL ! Installing Dancer failed.

Dancer 1.3050 is the last version to pass tests on Strawberry Perl 5.12.3 x64...
