I was going to mention Avast but I can't really speak to it compared to other products. I haven't tested it out extensively by throwing things at it. It doesn't seem to bog your system down like commercial products do. It does require you to re-register periodically to keep using the free version.
> I use Kaspersky anti-virus (version 8 I think). Had some difficulties in the initial install as I had to remove some traces of old anti-virus protection, but once installed it seems OK, it's a paid version.
>
>
>> I know we've been here before, but what do list members use for
>> Anti-virus? I've used AVG up top now but have found that their new AVG
>> 8.0 is causing all sorts of mayhem on my machine so have reverted to AVG
>> 7.5. However, from Monday that is no longer supported with updates so
>> need to find something else.
>>
>> I need something for a small home/office network at a sensible price -
>> doesn't have to be free but that's always a bonus! (I was using paid-for
>> AVG).
>>
>> Suggestions welcome.
>>
>> Thanks
